All seems well in the Darling nursery — until the children are whisked into the night sky by the mischievous Peter Pan. There they are tossed into the wondrous island that is Neverland. Who knows what might happen amid elegant mermaids, fairies, a dangerous ticking crocodile, wild children, and a ragged band of pirates. Our group of TeachNW actors, kindergarten through high school, invite you to join them for an updated rendition of this classic tale. Our students and families have worked tirelessly to create the sounds, light, props, sets, and costumes for TeachNW's second-ever theater production. SHOW DATES: Friday, December 1st at 7:00pm Saturday, December 2nd at 7:00pm Sunday, December 3rd at 2:00pm Thursday, December 7th at 10:00am A special matinee for visiting schools and TNW families with younger children Friday, December 8th at 7:00pm Saturday, December 9th at 2:00pm TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR: Adults $10 Students $8 LOCATION: Lane Community College Upper Level of Building 17 Park in Lot L and enter on the south side of the building. November: Native American Heritage Month We observe Native American Heritage Month in November to recognize the achievements and contributions of Native Americans. SOME HISTORY... The first American Indian Day in a state was declared on the second Saturday in May 1916 by the governor of New York. Several states celebrate the fourth Friday in September. Starting in 2014, many other cities and states adopted the holiday. In 1990, President George H. W. Bush approved a joint resolution designating November 1990 “National American Indian Heritage Month.” Similar proclamations, under variants on the name (including “Native American Heritage Month” and “National American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month”), have been issued each year since 1994. -- www.ofsn.org

We wish to cordially invite your middle schooler to join us for Middle School Open Space at the LCC Learning Center, Tuesday 1:30-2:45 in Building 17 - we end in time to clean up before the Theatre. One could call it a hangout, but we wanted to invoke a little more - the hope is that it becomes a space that kids can optionally attend [skip a week, join mid-year, etc.]. This is an opportunity for Middle School students to make connections outside of classes. What the kids do is entirely based on who is there that week! Art, board games, card games, are but a few of the options. I’m always taking suggestions and requests on what they want me to bring for them. We also take suggestions on snacks ;) (Lately it's been clay and Oreos - don't mix them up!) For more information, contact our Middle School Open Space Adult Volunteer Open Space Host, Czarena Krell @ theczarena@gmail.com
